Joe Alapatt Wedding
The nuptial of Joe, the scion of the Alapatt family, was the talk of the town. And his beautiful bride, Ann, just upped the ante a notch! We were thrilled to be chosen to create this very special wedding day and reception for the Alapatt couple! Joe and his brother Antony briefed us with precise and specific. Based on these inputs, we created a classy ambience for the young couple.
The wedding venue was the Crowne Plaza at Kochi. More than 2000 guests attended the function. The main challenge lay in accommodating such a large gathering, without creating a crush. To achieve this, we designed the venue with five interconnected gathering spaces.
The main area where the bride and groom greeted guests was a large area of about 12,000 sq ft. We arranged round tables and grouping of guests. The main hall branched into three smaller reception halls. And we cast a beautiful spell of light and flowers to enhance the pool area and lawns, where the guests lingered and mingled.
Elegance was the byword of the day. Understated, yet classy decor was the brief. We decided the colour themes according to this setting framework. To add warmth and create a welcoming ambiance, we choose colours such as blushing pinks, soft mauves and gentle whites. To lend solidity and augment the natural feel, we choose wood as an accent. Our florists adorned the entrance and venue mainly with orchids, carnation roses, pastel-coloured roses and chrysanthemums. The centerpieces were silver candelabras and flower arrangements. And these added an old world charm to the setting.
To create an intimate space, we did some mood lighting and used diffused lights. A live band played international hits and classics on the cello and the piano. For guest entertainment, we erected photo booths so that people could click photographs. Professional photographers unobtrusively snapped guests and the wedding couple throughout the evening.
The banquet was a veritable mix of cuisines from across the world. However, the highlights were the vast variety of salads and desserts. The wedding cake too garnered its fair share of attention with a silver tier and flower embellishments.
The wedding reception of Ann and Joe Alapatt reflected the couple’s tastes and preferences in everything. It was a classy affair that everyone will remember for its warmth, elegance and gaiety.
Here’s what our groom, Joe Alappatt had to say: “I have worked with several other wedding management companies for my relatives weddings. But Tamarind undoubtedly is the best in the industry in Kerala. They never said no to any of our requests and were more than happy to get it done the way we wanted it. From start to finish, the entire team took meticulous care of every detail to ensure our vision was brought to life. We could have never pulled off such a wonderful occasion without Tamarind!”
Team Tamarind wishes the Joe-Ann Alapatt couple many years of happy wedding bliss!
