Ranjini Haridas, as always, is a vibrant and lively anchor, still in her early 30\u2019s. The winner of the\u00a0Miss Kerala\u00a02000 achieved prominence in Malayalam television in 2007 as the anchor of the reality show “Idea Star Singer” on\u00a0Asianet. Ranjini Haridas also presented the closing ceremony at the 2010 Keli International Kalamela in Switzerland.<\/p>\n

Ranjini Haridas<\/strong>\u00a0made her film debut with a\u00a0cameo role\u00a0in\u00a0China Town, where she appeared as herself, the anchor of\u00a0Idea Star Singer. In 2013, Ranjini acted in a Malayalam film named\u00a0\u2018Entry\u2019\u00a0which was her first film in a lead role. She then signed her second film with internationally acclaimed director Rupesh Paul.<\/p>\n

Here is an exclusive interview with the one and only Ranjini Haridas:<\/span><\/h4>\n

What was your experience working as an emcee?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Well, working as an emcee makes me happier as I always love what I do. Passion for my work has always driven me to perform better each time.<\/p>\n

How did you become an emcee?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

I was just 16 when I made my first appearance as emcee\u00a0 in ‘campus choice.’ I could manage modeling and emcee together, says Ranjini Haridas.<\/p>\n

What preparations do you take before hosting a program?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

I do not take any preparation other than reading the script if it is essential. I believe that you should be spontaneous and \u00a0natural while you are an emcee.<\/p>\n

Is the work of an emcee different in the wedding industry?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

It is different because for a wedding, there are no retakes. Whereas in reality shows, you can manage as there is an option for retakes. I have always liked live shows and weddings<\/a> as it offers more of a challenge and you get to prove your talent.<\/p>\n

What was your best experience in your career?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

My best experience was the Miss Kerala competition and I was so happy when I won that. And also, the Idea Star Singer was a turning point. It was through that that the anchor in me got established. I even got chances to host shows for Bollywood too.<\/p>\n

What would you consider as your worst experience?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Well, there were so many bad experiences for me. There were issues regarding payments, and during an international event, the crowd became violent – That can be said as one of my worst experiences. As a woman and as a media person, I have faced a lot of misbehavior from the crowd.<\/p>\n

Any advice you have for aspiring\u00a0 emcees?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

My first advice to anyone who is aspiring to be an emcee is that you should never ever try to learn the script by heart. The best way to handle your audience is to be natural, lively and reflect yourself on\u00a0stage<\/a>.<\/p>\n
